The product does not come with a CD and the manual is very weak. However, you simply plug the device into the USB and it runs in parallel with the keyboard. So if you scan a barcode it will deliver the requisite numbers at the position of the cursor.
No documentation is really neeeded execpt to say this "Plug into the USB socket and it will behave as the number pad of your keyboard when you scan a barcode". Had this been explained then everything would have been fine for me.

You know, I bought this product just because of the price, but it actually wasn't bad. The previous review is right, it doesn't come with a CD, and the manual is weak. However; you don't need a CD, and you don't really need a manual. I simply plugged it in to a USB port, scanned a code, and it 'typed' in the code in. So simple. It gets a little confused on smaller barcodes. All said and done, if you want an entry level barcode reader, this is your guy.
