If Wallace and Gromit turned you into a Wensleydale addict, then Aardman Animation's first feature film, Chicken Run, is sure to ruffle your feathers.
But if watching the film just isn't enough, Activision's accompanying CD-Rom Fun Pack means you can take Rocky and Ginger home with you and enjoy them from the comfort of your own coop.
"Foul Play" is a collection of great clips from the film, the quality of which is fairly good for desktop viewing, though the animation is a little pixilated and can stick in places. But the real beauty of this CD is in the "eggstras"-the "Chickenizer" (a collection of cursors, wallpaper, sounds and icons for your PC); "Egg Savers" (four great screensavers based on the film animation); and the two games--"Spring Chicken", which requires a fairly limited attention span and "Run Chicken Run", a more strategic game of escape where you have to place planks over holes to guide your chickens through various fields to safety. Sounds easy? Just try it ... (you can practise in Fowler's Training Camp before playing the real game!) But beware, the games are curiously addictive, so make sure you set the "clock-a-doodle-doo" desktop alarm to stop those minutes turning into hours. --Lucie Naylor

The chicken run fun pack is entertainment for the whole family. The funpack is split into five sections, fowl play contains clips from the chicken run movie, eggsavers has some comical screen savers, chickenizer has lots of icons, wallpaper, cursors and sounds for your pc and best of all the game section which has two addictive games which are run chicken run and spring chicken! Take my advise and order this cd rom NOW!!!!!!!
After the movie, the sweatshirts, the album of the soundtrack etc etc comes this nifty little collection of desktop games, themes and assorted other ephemera - and it's really quite amusing.
Featuring film clips from the movie, two amusing, if simplistic, games and loads of images, sound clips and other multimedia bolt-ons this is an amusing little package which is suitable for Chicken Run fans of all ages.
Bouncing chickens over a fence may not sound like the most hilarious activity in the world, but the Spring Chicken game on this cd will have you bursting with laughter. (Remember babies in the burning building? If you do, you probably remember Morph as well, so you'll love this.) The screen savers, wallpapers and different icons (a chicken trash bin?) are also great, and there's lots of clips from the film. In another game you have to place planks to save chickens from falling down holes--similar idea to the Chu Chu Rocket principle. Many film tie-ins just waste your time, but this is well worth the money. And if you show any friends, be prepared to share it!
