About the Author
Cheryl Holt is a lawyer, novelist, and mom who lives on the Oregon coast. Her varied employment history includes public school teacher, mediator, cook, bartender, lobbyist, musician, and political activist. A graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law, she worked as a law clerk for the Attorney General of Colorado and Wyoming. Later, she served as a deputy district attorney in metro-Denver. Her second book, "My Only Love," was nominated by "Romantic Times "magazine for a Reviewer's Choice Award. "Absolute Pleasure" is her eighth novel.

This is a new theme on the Gigolo. Gabriel, an artist preys on rich lonely women with the excuse of wanting to paint them and seduces them out of their money. At first I was revolted by the mere idea that the hero could be such a villainous character but as the story unfolds and he becomes enthralled with Elizabeth (his intended victim) you cannot help but fall under his spell. The love scenes are out of this world and very erotic. This read is a very slow seduction……..

I loved this book-I get so tired of reading second rate romances, it is a real pleasure to find a good one these days!Lady Elizabeth is an aging spinster, who has devoted her whole life to her selfish father, only for him to marry an spiteful airhead who supplants her position as his hostess. So she is more than ready when our hero, a painter who makes his living from lonely women he seduces, makes an advance. With inner trepidation, she agrees to sit for him, but slowly he realises, through a sucession of scorching love scenes, that he is falling in love with her, even though she is not rich in her own right-her rich and powerful father owns everything.There is also a sub plot as her housekeeper, who is chaperoning her, falls in love and marries his father...a great read.

I love Cheryl Holt's books and would like to see more recognition given to her books. She has the rare talent of writing books that can be equally termed erotica and romance.
In absolute pleasure, the love story features Gabriel an artist of disreputable character and Elizabeth the daughter of a peer of the English realm. Enjoyable read and my favourite of all Ms Holt's books. The story line did not appear rushed as some of her other books and the secondary characters were great.
Would warn contains steamy sex scenes.
