5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutley Brilliant - Absolute O'Brien - WOW, 29 Dec 2003
To me this album is a masterpiece. As an avid Rocky fan and a Shock Treatment fanatic it is fantastic to hear the master himself, Richard O'Brien singing more of his own compositions.

This album is not Rocky Horror or Shock Treatment but if you listen carefully to the music and lyrics I believe you can see similarities.

It is however a brilliant showcase of Richard O'Brien's own personal songs that are presented with a variety of jazz, country, Rock and Roll and latin influences.

It is undeniable that Richad O'Brien has a first class voice and a totally unique style that to my mind has been unsurpassed in song writing by any other artist.

Don't buy this album if you are looking for a soundtrack to a musical or film.

However if you are after some unique stand alone songs produced and presented to the highest standard I belive that this album is for you as I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Fo more info just type Richard O'Brien into your favourite search engine and you can spend days discovering more about this fantastic artistic genious.

5.0 out of 5 stars absolute divinity, 15 Jan 2002
By gina@email2me.net (united kingdom) - See all my reviews
I have this album, Richard O'brien has a marvelous singing voice, and what is more he writes all the lyrics and music himself. This album is yet another success for Richard, its a must for anyone who loves richard's work, or indeed for anyone wanting some great music to listen to. After seeing the Rocky Horror Picture Show years ago i always used to wish that Richard would bring out an album of some sort and I was so pleased when this one was released. I just cant wait for the next one. Keep up the good work richard!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars "So cool you'll want to take a warm bath with a friend"
Richard O'Brien's first studio album is, in the words of one of his earlier songs, astounding. But that's where the comparison to Rocky Horror ends, for the music found on this CD... Read more
