Requested as a purchase by the school music teacher to accompany my daughter's first flute lessons. Includes CD which helps the child hear what her playing should sound like. The book is clear and well spaced out, allowing room for the teacher to add comments as the weeks pass. also easy enough for the adult to see what they've learnt each week and follow progress. Decent quality pages and cover also.

In this non-musical family, where I don't read music, it is great for my seven year old, who does read music, to be able to hear exactly how the tunes she is trying to play should sound.
Each tune on the CD is played once with flute and piano backing and then again with just the piano backing. So you get two goes at playing along.

I have an 8 year old learning the flute for the first time and having the CDs to listen to along with the book really has helped a great deal. Would totally recommend this.
