This isn't great literature or even good writing but it isn't a bad story. However readers will have to "suspend their disbelief" as some of the story is rather fanciful to say the least. Also I found the gratuitous violence and casual murdering rather disturbing.
I hope the author is a better barrister than he is a writer and that judges and juries find his arguments a little less fanciful. Worth a read just about.

Didn't enjoy this as much as Rule of Law. The story started well and the plot was an original one, but for me it seemed to lose its self at the end and it all seemed a bit rushed

As a bit of a crime/thriller addict, I can't wait to find a new writer to get hooked on. Dexter Dias is that writer. Above the Law is compulsive and impossible to stop reading.
