5.0 out of 5 stars A page turner set in New Zealand 26 May 2013

I've read a couple of this authors books and this is my favourite. Blair Polly's books always end with a twist you aren't expecting which I love. I'm always trying to guess the endings and I haven't managed to yet.

I loved that this one took us to the West Coast which I've been fortunate to visit. It is an unusual place and this is a cool story to arm chair travel with. The author is obviously very familiar with the setting - I could just see the places in my mind as I read long. I also liked reading about Wellington.

A great read for a lazy weekend or to keep the bus or train to work interesting.

This was not only a good mystery, it is a wonderful travelog of the west coast of New Zealand. There are some twists and turns with a pretty good surprise ending. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars I devoured at pace on a rainy day 10 July 2013

This is the third of Blair's books now and I enjoyed it very much. It has some dark suspense but not the unpleasant violence of the first book.

He set in once again on a landscape that I am very familiar with; Wellington and the West Coast of the South Island. I could almost taste the salt spray on that lonely West Coast beach. I liked the geological references and the characters are well described and plausible. There is mystery, romance and a car chase. I think it would make a good movie.

I devoured this book at pace on a rainy day. It was un-put-downable. Thanks Blair - keep them coming.

I really enjoyed this book which is set in New Zealand. Gave a great insight about parts of New Zealand while following a great story line. The characters are very believable and I would suggest this as a great read.
