This book is a perfect introduction to Windows XP for anybody (like myself) who has little or no experience of Windows. If you are more experienced then you probably won't learn a great deal from this book.
It is very easy to read without lots of unnecessary words. It is written in a very clear easy to understand way with step-by-step instructions and screen shots of what will appear on your screen. It describes how to use Windows XP's basic features (saving, deleting files etc...) and programs (wordpad, address book, movie maker etc...) , how to keep your system in good working order and also has a section on troubleshooting (crashes, error messages etc...). Unfortunately there is no section about downloading music files off the internet or saving digital photos from your camera but having said that this book gives you such a good grasp of Windows XP that you will probably be able to work it out for yourself and if not the book has an excellent section on how and where to get help within the Windows built in help facility or on the internet.
