5.0 out of 5 stars Superb! 10 Sep 2003
Format:Audio CD
A truly inspiring song from a fantastic album! This song will stay with you even after you turn the radio off. The lyrics speak for themselves and are a reason to buy this alone. If only more artists were as honest. Aside from the lyrics, the music and particularly the base-line makes this song perfect. Definetely worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Songs, 1 Feb 2005
Format:Audio CD
Your Woman is a brilliant track by one man band 'White Town,' a unheard of group from the 90's. A mixture of powerful violin and cracking bass, this song dances between the realms of pop and techno, whilst still remaining unique. This is an amazing song that will stick in your mind and I guarantee you will be playing it over again. 'Theme for a late night documentary' is an intersting tune which is simply an add on to an already great CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars The '90s version of "M" 19 Dec 2007
By Mr_Buick - Published on Amazon.com

Hmmm... let's see... we have a complete flash-in-the-pan song recorded entirely on synthesizers and drum machines (except for some guitar smattered here and there), by an enigmatic one-man band from England that was never heard from again. I'm sorry, but when I hear this song I can't help but think of "Pop Muzik" by M aka Robin Scott. That's not to say I don't love this tune. There's so much going on in it- you've got a killer beat and bassline, combined with a haunting, deadpan delivery of lyrics dealing with one's girlfriend leaving for another woman; add on top of this some very creative sampling (really, it's genius to go back and loop a 1920s trumpet riff that sounds eerily like one of John Williams' more famous creations) and you have 4 minutes and 20 seconds of pop perfection. It's hard to believe this song came out almost 11 years ago but it doesn't sound dated at all. All in all, a nice nostalgic listen.
