4.0 out of 5 stars awesome, as always 13 July 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
if you arent aware of what you are looking at with this lot by now then why are you looking at it!
the most prolific of the insane clown posses proteges from over the years have reached the point where they surpassed their mentors many moons ago and with this being their last release on psychopathic records its only fair they bowed out with a bang, and my my have they delivered.
everything is in its place as usual, the raps about mary jane,,sex, violence and the general occult are all present and correct, but here is the major difference...... the boys sound tighter than they have ever sounded before both guys have really raised their game for this one.
the lyrics and delivery are sooooo tight they could be used for airlocks on the next intergalactic mission!
the beats flow with a steady ebb and flow that compliment jamie and paul brilliantly and really give them room to manouver and shimmy themselves into some of their most melodic work yet.
effectively all the parts that they have come close to nailing on the previous records that have got bang on on this one.
and yes i know i have handed out 5 stars to the other records but then why only 4 stars for this one?
in all honesty even though it is a great record, and it really is, it just doesnt quite hit that sweet spot that the others hit, as far as an intro to the band its a good place to start as the quality on this record is fantastic, the production in particular is amazing, everything is so clear and well presented, nothing gets lost in the mix.
in short its a great swansong for the boys to bow out of psychopathic with, now just cant wait to see what they do next!

4.0 out of 5 stars High Grade Horror Hip Hop Music 23 Oct 2012
By B. Sadler - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I like the direction Twiztid is taking. While I've read reviews maligning Heartbroken and Homicidal I really enjoyed that album and I like this album as well. The album showcases Madrox/Monoxide's ability to shred the mic when they want to (see Unstoppable) - but maybe not often as I would like. They also know how to put a song together and carry a mood. I believe that musically they are much more talented than their labelmates Insane Clown Posse. For one thing, I tend to ignore the skits on albums - but these are top notch. They are either hilarious or incredibly hair raising and scary - unlike the skits on the Mighty Death Pop which sounds like they randomly picked fans and put them on the CD - twiztid's skits are dead on and carry whatever feeling they want to convey to the listener. The interplay between the hip hop feel that monoxide brings to the tracks and the theatric rock vibe that Jamie Madrox brings blends well. After months of repeated listens (added this to the edit) the album has not grown old!

Most people who call themsevles Jugglos will pick this up regardless of a review posted here and unfortunately those outside the Psychopathic world won't hear about this or shy away from it. It's unfortunate because Twiztid, since the release of Mostasteless, in the late 90's has consistently put out top quality music to their loyal and consistent fan base. This release is High Quality (pun intended) Horror Hip Hop Music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Twiztid Continues To Evolve 4 Nov 2012
By Celisa Stratton - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I have been listening to Twiztid for many years, not as one of their hardcore "Juggalette" followers, but as a person that appreciates good music. What drew me to the Psychopathic music initially was that it was dark yet comedic, and the music was legitimately good. It wasn't until recently that I started listening to Twiztid again, as well as ICP, Dark Lotus, etc, and started to consider myself a Juggalette. I've been very pleased with the stuff I've been hearing from these guys. It could, perhaps, be argued that what you're hearing is "less underground" and "more commercial" however, what I hear is talented artists perfecting their craft and evolving musically.

This particular album is Twiztid's best work in my opinion. They have incorporated new sounds that one might not expect to hear on a "rap/hip-hop" album. But Madrox and Monoxide aren't simply rappers, lyricists and hip-hop artists. They are musicians AND singers, and they're honing their craft, progressing, and getting better with time. If every album sounded the same, they wouldn't continue to sell albums. These guys are witty, funny, talented and SMART!!!

As a singer (soul and more), I have to say, I LOVE the way

Some of my favorite tracks are:
SHE LOVES IT - Madrox is showing off his skills, and this is a very fun, sexy, even sensual sounding track. I LOVE IT!

LIFT ME UP: This song is a beautiful, and sounds almost inspirational!

EXTENSION CHORDS: This track is a bit funky, something I like to dance to for sure!

LDLHAIBCSYWA: OMG this is sooo not what I expected from them. It tugs at my heart-strings, just incredibly beautiful.

THIS IS YOUR ANTHEM: Has a bluesy feel to it. I love to hear these guys showcase their skills in different genres!!

The skits are funny and as another reviewer said, I don't skip over them just because I've heard them once.

Alright, I'm not gonna review all the songs, but I actually like everything on this CD. INCREDIBLE! If you like GOOD MUSIC you will appreciate this. WHOOP WHOOP!

4.0 out of 5 stars Three and a half, really 6 July 2013
By Maddy's Mom - Published on Amazon.com

If you could ask me in person, I'd shrug and say this album is "all right". Mediocre, but worth listening to. Bump-worthy in the car as background music, but nothing really jumps out as "awesome" or "you really have to listen to this track". Worth buying if you like the boys. I don't regret buying it, I was curious how they were evolving, and I'm all for artists being brave and flexing their creative muscles, but it falls a bit flat, like they could have done more but rushed it, due to the soap opera drama with Psychopathic maybe. Just not that impressive to me. A bit disappointed with Maddrox's new vocal style, too. Nasal and fast, sounds too much like a certain other Detroit rapper, whose initials are "M.M.". Not expecting that one.

To give perspective, I've been listening to Wicked, Man's Myth, Mosttasteless and Green Book, not really in any order. Freekshow would be in there too, only it somehow disappeared from my collection.
