More About the Author

Nicola was born in Essex, mother of two: Abigail and Hannah and currently lives in Cyprus with Hannah.

Since Abigail's passing Nicola has been on an emotional rollercoaster and now just over five years since the worst day of her life she can finally see her life coming together again.

Nicola has never thought of herself as a writer but when a friend suggested she write a book about her journey through grief she felt this might help others to know that when life seems unbearable it's ok, they're not alone and so her story began.

Writing itself has been a horrendous ordeal at times but the focus was clear, this will help someone in need. Her book is the hand reaching into that dark depressing tunnel to know that someone is there for you; you don't have to struggle alone.

A fantastic story of the pain of losing a young daughter with so much life still to live being taken away from her loving parents and the sadness encountered by Paul & Nicola in the years following Abigial's accident.

Nicola is a very special lady who went through so much emotion writing the book and to forgive the young lad who was driving the car shows how caring she is.

I am sure wherever Abigail is, she is looking down on her Mum and is beaming with pride at such a special person.

I bought this book on amazon and once i received it i couldn't put it down until it was finished. Such a brave and inspirational lady. Like other reviews have said you really feel like you are sitting with Nicola as she tells you her story which is every parents worst nightmare. You also feel you get to know Abigail, her sister and her dad. To find forgiveness for the driver takes amazing strength. I wish Nicola all the best for whatever she decides to do in the future.

Luckily enough to have purchased this book from the Author herself.
It is a totally awe inspiring and heartfelt book, about how she and her family have coped and reacted since the death of Abigail when she was 15. Like many others once I started it I could not stop even through the tears, I would also say it helped me realise that things I had been feeling at a recent loss were natural.
Would highly recommend it.

A very sad story and yes I did cry on various occassions when reading this, but to be totally honest I cant make my mind up about it. A very tragic accident. The only thing I could say to anyone is read it yourself and make your own mind up. Well done to Nicola Simpson for being able to put her most private thoughts and feeling down on paper.
