Trevor Forest writes children's stories, amongst other talents. He also writes under Trevor Belshaw.
Abigail's Pink Angel is a story about Abigail who, poorly in bed with flu, hears the fluttering of wings and finds a lost guardian angel in her room. Abigail feels sorry for the lost 'trainee' and tries to help her, but as it turns out, Abigail might be the one requiring the help! The naughty angel proceeds to take over Abby's life and destroy it piece by piece, in her own quirky, sometimes jealous way. How will Abigail ever get rid of this naughty imp, and if no-one else can see her, how will she persuade anyone that she is not doing the bad things herself?
This story is delightful, reads brilliantly, and is very modern in the details, such as mobiles and other technology. I really enjoyed reading it, and I feel sure that children will love the language and intriguing story. Although it is about a girl and has a beautiful girly cover, Abigail's brother is sure to hook boys into the story as well, especially when he climbs into an apple pie bed!
Trevor self publishes these books in ebook and paperback form, I am reviewing the ebook version of this, but I also have Stanley Stickle Hates Homework in paperback, which is equally as delectable and sure to win many more fans.
I am a big advocate on telling children modern stories as well as the classics, and this fits right into that niche for me. Trevor is a master storyteller with a wicked sense of humour, and his voice comes through well in this book.
