Just listened to the clips and this album apears to be a rubbish american bland cover version type album with no originality whatsoever!!! And also it makes you crave for John and Pauls original vocals especially Hey Jude and let it be!
But the version of Ticket to Ride By Sweet Rocks! Also Back in the USSR is given a new lease of life! I might just buy those two tracks but the amazon mp3 download thingy never works so I'll move on to I tunes!

Depending on where you stand most of the acts here are designer pop-AOR-bands whose own albums are generally boring.
Deep Purple may be an exception as they covered Beatles songs in the past like Help and Strawberry Fields Forever.
However when Beatles songs-or Dylan ones are covered-it always makes them sound less boring and its also worth bearing in mind that the Beatles probably became the reason why they went into the music business.
There can't be anything wrong with collections of Beatles covers-it keeps the name up there

Not a real Abbey Road tribute but a very good one 25 April 2009
By EO - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
At first I thought it was the obvious (and necessary) 40th anniversary tribute to Abbey Road album, you know 1969-2009: time goes by!- Well, it isn't: there are only two songs from that masterpiece,
Something and Here Comes The Sun (the ones by George Harrison). But it's a great disc for a fan of good Beatles covers. There are millions of Beatles covers and tribute albums around, some are good and some bad, but these days to find unreleased materials is not that easy. But here there is something really good: Birthday by Leif Garrett, Ticket to Ride by Sweet and most of all Across The Universe by Jackson Browne and Tomorrow Never Knows by Tangerine Dream are real highlights.
This album is featuring well known artists and not unknown people: you'll find members of bands such as Deep Purple, Doors, Asia, Toto, MC5, Santana, Molly Hatchett and others. Of course we'll be waiting for the real tribute to Abbey Road (and why not to the Rooftop Concert?) but in the meanwhile this is a great pick. Enjoy it.

Nice Tribute Album! 7 Jun. 2010

I heard several of these tracks on acuradio Beatles channel and just had to get the CD. I think it's one of the best, or maybe it is the best, tribute album out there. I like the bands they chose to cover these songs. There is a bit of variety in the artists, but it sounds good at one listening. Good CD!

a new perspective on the Beatles 23 Sept. 2010

This is a great tribute to the fab 4. I never get bored listening to it. You really want to sing along. I also bought the Jamican style tribute. I like this one better.
I rarely buy tribute albums, but when I do..... 24 Jan. 2015

There are many Beatle's Tribute albums. But it's rare to find one or two that you can just sit and listen to. This is one of them. You will find a band member from this or that famous group, but they really put their hearts into the project. David Pack of Ambrosia or Richard Page of Mr. Mister. Other surprises include Molly Hatchet doing 2 songs, Yesterday-I know, Right? -and Back in the USSR. They pull off both songs! Former teen popsters Leif Garrett and The Sweet do very credible jobs here, and what is also unusual about this collection is that Dweezil Zappa & Tangerine Dream tackle Tomorrow Never Knows, although, for my money, grab 801's version from the iconic Live album. The only disappointment is the 'miss the mark' Air Supply and Jackson Brown, but personal taste aside, this is a fine collection to a fantastic band. Get this and Revolution, another very fine tribute album!

Decent Beatles covers for the cheap. Enjoyable. May not listen to this every day, but it will get some play for sure. Billy Sherwood and company did a good job.
