Bought this for my 14 year old who is going on to study AS level music. A fantastic piece of software, compatible with the schools version means she can email her work to home.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Sibelius 6 student, is brilliant, for homework and for general composing. If you want to do more sophisticated composition, then go for the full version, or logic, I use both at school for my GCSE composition and editing work. I have a teacher that prefers Sibelius, and another that prefers logic, only go for logic if you have a mac and are looking to go pro or semi pro, otherwise, it isn't worth the money. This version of Sibelius is brilliant, it works on mac and pc, which I use on both: imac and a custom built pc. your pc doesn't have to be very powerful to run it, you just have to set it up right for your settings if it doesn't run right. This probably works best in my experience on mac, but it works fine on a pc, just make sure you have a decent pair of headphones or speakers, because its sounds are quite accurate.

I'm a new sibelius user but I am very impressed with the functionality and performance for the money - very good transcription facilities and even on a realtively slow old Mac Mini, perfectly acceptable performance

Sibelius 6 student edition
