Built to asus usual high standards, everything you need from a non-SLi S775 mainboard.

Having said that, as is also typical of Asus, the memory controller seems a little weak, and has to be told about the memory you're installing if it's a little left-of-centre. I have this board with a Q9550 and 4Gb GEIL Black Dragon 1066Mhz memory. It works, but unless you manually set the voltage & timings it doesn't really give you any advantage over 800MHz ram. You wouldn't mind, but I chose that ram specifically because it is listed in the QVL for this mainboard.

Anyone on a budget would appreciate this board maded with a 1333MHz processor and good quality 667MHz ram instead of the faster stuff.

More overclocking / performance enhangement options than all but the hardened enthusiast would need in a budget(ish) motherboard. Supports all Core 2 processors including the newer 45Nm ones, still being well supported, with regular driver updates.
