Ever popular, the GT-2160 delivers great stability and durability whilst retaining a responsive road feel. The latest version is the lightest ever with comfort boosted by an improved upper fit. The full length Guidance Line, a groove on the underside of the sole, focuses the runner’s tread reducing energy wastage and fatigue. The main benefit of Guidance Line is a more efficient path through the gait cycle, but it also helps the shoe shed some weight as well. This is the lightest-ever GT-2000TM shoe. It’s also extremely comfortable with a new, dual density sole providing a softer road feel and memory foam around the heel collar and tongue holding the ankle in place. A ComforDry Sockliner gives extra cushioning and a healthier in-shoe environment.

The ASICS GT 2160 Autumn/Winter 2010 Running Shoe continues to go from strength to strength. The shoe is perfect for the serious runner in need of some additional support to prevent against overpronation. The main difference between the 2160 and the 2150 is the addition of Guidance Line, which is designed to give you a more efficient path through the gait cycle. This new Guidance Line also makes the 2160 the lightest shoe in the 2000 series so far.

I purchased these to replace my GT 2150's.
The 2150's were excellent for first wear and the GT 2160 is no different. Its lightweight and comfortable. I purchased the Deep Purple/Lilac as I have found the darker trainers still look good after a lot of wear.
I put a lot of miles into my running shoes and if these last half as long as the GT 2150 I will be very happy.

Women's Asics, GT-2160 running standard width
I bought these trainers to replace my beloved Asics 2150 and am delighted with them too. The comfort when walking or running makes them unbeatable. They were great value on Amazon and absolutely perfect, just as they were described.

The person whom these werer bought for already had a older pair that needed urgent replacing. The cushioning and support is as good as previous models, and the they really liked the updated colour option of the Whi/Ti/Clear Blue.
