The new GEL-NIMBUS 13 is the lightest version of the shoe ever, yet provides the most comfortable and cushioned ride for both neutral and under-pronators. The GEL-NIMBUS 13 features a new Guidance Line which encourages the foot to follow the most efficient line of progression, while its Asymmetrical Lacing Design and Personal Heel fit all work to ensure a glove-like fit. The strategically placed stretch material of the Biomorphic Fit Upper - on the upper helps to reduce buckling and the potential for irritation. An improved heel fitting environment and support is given by the exoskeletal heel counter.

Improving even further on the success seen with the GEL NIMBUS 12, this shoe model for the Autumn/Winter 2011 season now includes am updated Gender Specific forefoot cushioning technology in both models providing a weight reduction from the predecessor. Improvements have also been made to the Full-length Solyte 45 for further improvement to comfort.

I have been wearing the Asics Gel Nimbus since the Gel Nimbus 8 was released and the model has changed over the past few years. The model now has more gel pods for rear foot cushioning along with forefoot cushioning gel which are now better placed than they were in earlier versions and the (PHF) personal heel fit that has been introduced over the past couple of years is very innovative, the memory foam remembers the detail of my foot as the wearer and feels comfortable to my foot. The (IGS) Innovative Guidance System is great you don't get this on basic trainers and you know you are wearing a well made trainer that fits the foot correctly. I didn't like the lace style change on the last two versions as I found the shoe didn't fit the same but Asics this time around have solved this by straightening the lace back to a more central position. The fit is a lot better and I like this colour version too. Designed for a neutral gait, for someone like me with a high arch they fit to your specific foot strike. These trainers are comfortable and whether you are using them for marathon running or walking the dog they simply do a great job and cushion your feet.

These trainers were recommended by a specialist for the arch support (even if I need to take the inner sole out and put my own in), durability and extra cushioning. At first I was confused about all the different models, what made it worse was the inconsistent naming of the same product by different retailers, (even within Amazon) so I rang Asics to clarify everything which was very useful. The trainers are so comfortable. The laces are a little short and the trainers may feel tight across the width at first but I know I will not buy another make.

A great running shoe. Light weight, comfortable and provides excellent cushioning and support. Have tried other brands, but I keep coming back to ASICS. Had always bought Kayanos, but Nimbus suits so much better.

Asics Nimbus 13 are not as good as the 12
I have worn the nimbus from the 11 model through to the 13. I am really displeased with the fit on the 13 and I am desperately trying to locate a 12 in my size. Read more
