4.0 out of 5 stars An Alternative To Your Main Textbook 21 Dec 2004
By A Customer
Not a bad book at all. Having completed my PGCE a few years ago, this book was one that was frequently picked up by myself and used.
Its not meant to be read cover to cover, but instead contains info that other books (including Learning to teach in a secondary school, by Capel) do not have.
The book covers the issues of teaching and learning in science.
The book is divided into 4 sections :
1) setting the scene 2) learning science 3) Principles of teaching/learning science 4) Management and Development
You may not refer to this book as often as a general teaching text, but it will certainly come in useful.
