This kettle is extremley slow to boil water. I filled mine about 1/3 full and after an hour the water had still not boiled,the water was hot enough for a cuppa at this point. Apart from this the kettle is strong and durable easy to use. Its a shame that it takes forever to get the job done.......

Great idea to be able to pug into cigarette lighter, but one cup takes over 10 minutes to boil. Otherwise very good.

I bought this kettle for use of long journeys for reheating water put in to a flask hours before. It is ideal for this and only takes about 10 mins. to have the water back to boiling. It is only heating with a cigarette lighter so you couldn't really expect it to heat any quicker and I certainly enjoy my cup of tea much better piping hot. It is also nice and small and easily tucks away.

convenient but... not for a quick cuppa..
i've a 2.2 diesel and had the kettle plugged while driving on the motorway. It took 15mins to get 0.9L boiled! Not fast but convenient. Read more

Kettle works well, but if you want coffee for 2, be prepared to wait 15 minutes at least.
