4.0 out of 5 stars very helpful 7 July 2009
Format:Paperback
This book works perfectly alongside my home study psychology a level course. It's set out in the same order as my units and contains helpful hints and progress checks. A vital accompaniment to the material I already have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Psychology teacher 5 May 2010
Format:Paperback
The Nelson Thornes books are endorsed by AQA and this is one of only two available for the AQA B specification (the other one is published by Hodder). In terms of information, this book is very "dense" so it is much more a reference book than a reader (the Hodder one is easier to read). However, being endorsed by AQA means that even if students aren't given this textbook, every teacher should have one and use it to inform their teaching. The examiner's tips are excellent, and the practice exam questions at the end of each chapter and at the end of the book are extremely useful. The book is also well illustrated with plenty of photographs. I have found that my stronger students like this book, but weaker ones tend to prefer the Hodder one.

4.0 out of 5 stars My review 18 Dec 2012
By Steph
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Hmmm, well this book is very in depth. I wouldnt really say that it is user friendly as I personally find it difficult to understand some of the term it uses. However, this book covers all aspects of Psychology B at AS and if really spend your time reading it sincerely you will gain an excellent understanding of what it is saying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost new and all you need 11 Nov 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
It was a used product but looked new. Everything is there and perfect. This book is so ridiculously good for studying psychology AS for AQA. My tutor specifically recommended this book and told my class to buy it, because everything she is teaching is there and little extra. It's easy to read and easy to access in the layout, with not too much information to confuse you, even though everything you need to know is there.
