I am a secondary school English teacher, and I bought this book as am about to teach these poems to my year 10 class.

Good points:

Good accurate notes on each poem

Lots of facts and extra information
Devices are explained well

Good variety of exam style questions

Good final section on planning and writing responses

Nice references to grades - and how to achieve them

Good glossary

Bad points:

The poems aren't in here! Previous revision booklets have had annotated versions of the poems. I don't understand why this one doesn't.

There seems to be quite a lot of blank space - perhaps for note taking? Or the writers have nothing else to say?

Overall, given the price I would say this was worth buying, but as a GCSE guide could easily be improved!

This book is extremely useful. I like it and, more importantly, so do my students. It' very good value indeed.

If you like illustrations that look as if they came from the 1950s and superficial readings of the poems then this is the book for you. This might just help an E grade candidate struggle up to a D. Some comments were inaccurate. Not good value for money.
