The fourth installment in the triumphant series sees André performing in front of thousands of rapturous fans in a highly lavish open air concert set amongst the cultural backdrop of his beautiful home town of Maastricht in The Netherlands, this time with very special guests from South Africa.
The annual Maastricht concerts are some of André's most popular, and here as always André is joined by the world famous 50-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra, performing a stunning crowd-pleasing show in front of one of the most beautiful and elaborate sets ever seen.

I did not believe that Andre Rieu could surpass what he had done before, but I was wrong.
This show was the best I have seen. The reflection on his South African trip was superb and the introduction of Kimmy Skota, a South African singer, was a masterstroke. She has a wonderful voice and sung with conviction, and I think we will be seeing a lot more of her in the future, not only with Andre but also in the opera houses of the world. The children were a delight to watch and performed perfectly along with the other singers and orchestra. What I like about Andre, is his ability to get the audience involved completely and for the orchestra to look so happy at their work. Could it be possible for Andre to improve on this performance, I doubt it, but, I have thought that before and have been delighted to have been proved wrong. This is one of the best dvd's that anyone could buy, for it has everything in it for sheer enjoyment.

Bought item for my elderly parents to watch. Its amazing how my father who is ill comes to life watching Andre Rieu DVD's. I was also so surprised at how much I enjoy watching it with them as before this I would never have listened to classical music. The concert is spectacular and it is amazing how you get so carried away with the performance, much like if you were actually at the concert itself. It was so nice to see so many gifted people performing on one DVD, who seem to have no airs and graces and who are clearly enjoying themselves. I would recommend dvd to everyone as it would appeal to all ages and those who do not listen to classical music should try it, you could be very surprised how much you enjoy it.

Another Maastricht concert and every bit as enjoyable as all the others. Andre strikes a chord in so many people and creates a feel good factor few performers can match. There is something uplifting watching 20000 people having the time of their life and I think the audience would follow Andre on foot to his next venue provided he kept playing. The surprise guests fit in well with the overall tone of the concert and help to make the two and a half hours fly by. Do not be put off by the so called music purists that like to sneer. Andre could go down the classical music route should he wish to do so but what he does is so much more rewarding and gives so much more obvious enjoyment that, as he says himself I hope he carries on for another 100 years.
One small niggle. I do not like the Michael Jackson tribute but thankfully this is only a tiny part of the concert and will possibly be enjoyed by many purchasers.

yet another delightful "in maastricht " show
Again this show is full of surprises, again very entertaining, enjoyable from start to finish. Even if you have seen his shows before, this one will delight you as much as before. Read more

An excellent DVD
Another superb offering from Andre Rieu. A worthy addition to any collection of his music which has its usual mix of classical, modern and traditional.
