when i got this for my inspiron 1501 laptop i wasnt sure if it would speed it up any and it did. but i do suggest that if you do buy this make sure that you get a better fan for your computer or a cooling pad for it bc it will make ur computer hotter depending on what you are doing. the new processing power has helped me out with a bunch of my data sheets and other things. like uploading music or even watching something over the net or on my computer. so it is a must.
It works and it was really inexpensive

I was surprised it was this cheap. I was looking for a replacement CPU for my laptop. I had a single core 1.6 ghz junk core that came with the computer. So I did some research and found I could use this in my laptop. And for this price how could I not buy it? Its been running solid for 4 months no problem and my laptop gets used everyday. It runs so much better and it handles online multiplayer games perfectly. I was skeptical about the thing even working for how cheap it was selling. But it does work and I'm fairly satisfied.

New processor works great! No instructions or thermal compound, but those are not needed for a customer with internal computer common sense.
