put into asus a5a88-M at it seems to work fine so far, no problems with installation, price still could be lower, produces a lot of heat - as it says 125W , there are alternatives for its speed and price

Nice AMD Chip

Bought this CPU at another store then Amazon but I'd review it anyways. Fast CPU. Good price. If you don't plan on using a 6-cores (most games and simple software uses 2-4) then just get the cheaper AMD X4 3.5Ghz. That one is cheaper and has a higher CPU speed. Games like World of Warcraft only use 2 cores I believe. Regardless, nice CPU.

Great processor at a good price

I upgraded from an AMD Athlon 64 X2. I have been very pleased with the speed increase. The processor popped in to the AM3 slot without any problems. The included heat sink and fan appeared well constructed and of good design. They easily slipped in to position on my motherboard. I have been pleased with the speed increase in most applications and have really appreciated the improved multi-tasking when I am working and playing. I would recommend this processor to anyone looking for a good balance between performance and price.

Que I7 ni que nada impresionante procesador y por si fuera porco con socket AM3 solo fue necesario actualizar el firmware de mi tarjeta madre (ASUS M4A79T Deluxe) para desatar todo el poder de este procesador.Estaba reemplazando un Athlon II x4 620 (que nada mal este procesador tampoco para el precio que tiene) y las copias entre discoduros de 30MB/s pasaron a 90MB/s, juegos comos Call Of Duty Black Ops, Fallout New Vegas, Crisys II, Medal of Honor, etc., fluyen cual bulgar tetris con este procesador (claro tambien esta combinado con mi tarjeta de video XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5). Los videos en 1080p corren cual video de celular, sin el mas minimo esfuerzo. Por ultimo y aunque no lo use porque tengo un disipador de gama alta, el que trae este procesador no tiene nada que envidiarle a muchos disipadores de de esa gama, con 4 Heatpipes y cuerpo de aluminio. Excelente de verdad y altamente recomendable. Y pensar que por tanto tiempo fui pro Intel y pro Nvidia (errores que se cometen en la vida).
