This APU is great! It plays games like League of Legends, Civilization V, War Thunder, Operation Flashpoint, Counter Strike Global Offensive and other heavy ones with great FPS, with most settings on high at 1440x900 resolution.

My configuration:

1life PSJet 450w PSU (from the cheap ones, this is probably one of the best. Been using one of these for over two years without any issues on another computer)
A8-5600K with GPU overclock to 894 mhz with 768MB for the graphics
MSI FM2-A55-E33
Crucial 2x2GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM
500GB HDD
Uses 105 watts under 100% CPU load (all cores)

A few things for anyone thinking of building an APU system:

- Always get two modules of RAM: Don't get a single 4GB or 8GB module. System and Gaming performance is much better if you use two modules (working in dual-channel).

- Try getting at least 1600mhz RAM. I worked with it for a few days using 1333mhz RAM and it worked great but with 1600mhz I managed to increase the resolution in, for instance, Civilization V. Regarding the amount of memory, I have 4GB installed with 768MB allocated to the graphics card and the remaining 3.25GB for the whole system. No slowdowns though.

- To check the APU temperature, use Hwmonitor or Hwinfo and check the CPU:0 temperature.

- If you want to overclock, don't use a VGA cable to connect to your monitor. After a certain overclock, the screen will flicker and you will start getting "Out of Range" messages displayed by your screen. I have overclocked to 4.0GHZ using the VGA cable but 4.095 GHZ would give the "Out of Range" error.

Also, if you are deciding between the A8-5600K and the A8-6500, I would go for the latter.

Installed this with AsRock FM2A75 Pro Motherboard and Vengeance Memory! Using it with Windows 8 and it all runs together very quickly. Inbuilt graphics are great too! Once again - tickety-boo!

I was originally planning on getting a Pentium G3258 with a discrete graphics card, but after my original budget went tits up I decided upon this instead. After some research I concluded that this was about the most powerful chip I could get for my newly revised budget. I'm happy with it - as a CPU it works wonders, four cores is amazing for someone who likes having 63856455 programs open at once when they're upgrading from a dual core. Overclocked to 4.4GHz from the stock 3.6, it was stable up to 4.6 but I wasn't happy with the temps so I dropped it back to 4.4. The graphics aren't that great, but they're better than what I would have got had I chosen the Pentium and gone without a GPU so I'm not complaining. I have the graphics side of the APU overclocked to 950MHz from the stock 760 (IIRC), which gets me an extra 2-3 fps. Overall it's a good chip - I wouldn't recommend it for gaming unless you pair it with a 6670 and run it in dual graphics. However as a CPU it's a good buy, if you have another £10-£20 to spend then you can get something better, but if £60 is the very top of your budget then go for it.

Nothing wrong with it, had no issues installing anything. Great Product would buy again. (Amazing for the price despite being told that cheap is bad)

I wanted a processor with half decent graphics until I can afford a seperate graphics card, and this does the trick. The built in graphics are a huge leap over intel processors with HD graphics and runs many games well. It's also unlocked to make for easy overclocking if you wish to do so. Would recommend for any upgrader or builder that wants a great processor at a budget price.

The A8 is superb for the money you pay.
You could have this, or if you want Intel, a Pentium G860. No competition at its price rage. For £50 to £70, this is easily the bast you will find.

The integrated graphics are quite nifty as well. Whilst you cant expect too play triple A* titles at 1080p, it will work very well with most games at medium too low settings at 1260x900. Minecraft full settings plays at about 60fps for me.
The dual graphics are great, offering more bang for your buck for an extra £60 GPU.

One thing I would suggest is that you buy fast ram, clocked at 1866Mhz as this APU runs much better with fast RAM. Whist on the topic of getting the most out, I have mine overclocked too 4.1Ghz from the stock 3.9 turbo. I did manage too get it up to 4.6, but it was just unstable at that speed.

It handles multitasking fantastically well. On my old PC (A Pentium for the same price by the way) I could have up to 3 things open at a time before it crashed. With my A8 I currently have 10 windows open in chrome, music playing, a server running and files open. And guess what. It is not even batting an eye lash. Great little processor, the upgrade too the A10 is recommended for the budget gamer, but this is great for people who want to just multitask and play Minecraft.

But this would not be a proper review if I did not tell you about the down sides. The only downside I can find in all honesty is the heat sink.
It's:
A) Small, so you will want too replace it if you want to overclock
B) Loud, it is the loudest part of my PC at the moment. And can get a bit annoying at times.
But the reason this APU is so cheap is because they had too cut cost somewhere. Anyway, make of the loud fan what you will.

Would I recommend this? YES! It is GREAT for the price. With its price tag, nifty graphics, and fantastic multitasking capability's. The A8 has blown my socks off, and somewhere into next year.
