5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing 8 Jun 2011
Amazing Processor. Running 64-bit Windows 7 with it, scored a whopping 6.9 out of 7.0 on the WEI.
Would recommend to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars a decent chip at a great price 25 Jun 2012
By Logan
I found this looking for a good chip at at low price. I got an am3 motherboard with core unlocking and lo and behold this is actually a quad core with one core disabled.

So overall a quad core chip for 50 pounds not too bad

5.0 out of 5 stars Cracking little processor 17 April 2012

Amazon Verified Purchase
Bought this processor for our home PC as I was in the process of upgrading it to a better spec. I have always bought AMD processors and never had any issues with speed/compatibility etc. This model was bought as a triple core processor but my Gigabyte motherboard came with a utility which allowed me to unlock the last core so giving me quad core performance for quite little outlay.

So far I haven't noticed any issues as a result of unlocking the last core (sometimes they are disabled due to technical or fabrication reasons) and as a result Windows 7 64bit Pro runs really quickly.

For a home PC which doesn't require the latest and greatest i7 quad core overclocked CPU to run the latest games I would thoroughly recommend this one. It's fast, stable, runs Windows or Linux and doesn't cost the earth. Of course like all things PC, items such as this are quickly redundant. As I write this review I'm sure prices have changed and the processor has been superceded by a newer model.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best value AM3 for money 28 July 2012
For those looking to Upgrade this (for the price) out-performs any of it's cousins in both Phenom and Athlon as far as AM3 socket processors go with maybe the exception of the AMD Phenom II x4 965, which for the price is equally matched in value for money.

If you want to push this sucker further I recommend a decent heatsynch. Either the Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 or Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 CPU Cooler depending on the size of your case, and power supply wattage alongside some Coollaboratory Liquid Pro Liquid Metal Thermal Paste if you're looking to re-paste, alongside unlocking its hidden 4th core along with some overclocking, and you should be able to either equal or out-perform the Pehenom II x4 695's default settings.

Anyway great value for money
