I think that cases for the Kindle are, on the whole, ludicrously expensive. So my reasoning in this purchase was: find something as cheap as possible that will provide protection for the Kindle when not in use and when travelling.
This fulfils the function admirably. I didn't think I wanted a case which was permanently attached - and after a couple of weeks of ownership I am confirmed in that opinion, as I like holding the 'bare' Kindle and suspect that any addition would make it undesirably heavy and/or thick.
It seems well made, and not likely to fall apart soon. It offers sufficient protection for the Kindle to survive unscathed in a travel bag, or floating loose in the car. And its 'flap' design means that the Kindle can, if inserted 'head-first' be charged while still covered by the case.
