Soft, warm, nice fitting, and not too itchy on the skin.
Warm, comfortable, good fit ( I have a large, I am 179 cm, 82 kg,) I often wear it by itself as it looks decent.
Light in weight, yet soft and snug, this is a delight to wear, and a perfect layer for Autumnal chilly days

The top arrived on time. It is lovely and cosy and has washed well several times. Useful for skiing and cycling so far. It fits well and is stylish enough that it does not need to be hidden under other layers. The dark grey is a pleasant change from black.

I like the look, and I wear it to the office as a regular top.

It's technically excellent, it's like having nano-maidens next to my skin patting me with tiny fluffy towels fresh from the radiator. There is a *tiny* amount of itch which I personally quite like, I find it tingly, but extremely sensitive people would not like it.

The overall impression is of middling quality rather than excellent. Also the yoke felt weird on the back of my neck. There is an unusual small panel stitched in to the yoke that increases the amount of material over the vertebrae, and it feels like it's supposed to fit someone with a slightly hunched back. Fortunately the material has good drape, so this stops being noticeable after you've been wearing it for a while, and I don't think it's visible either.

My biggest gripe is that it shrunk on first wash. I carelessly put it in a 40-degree cotton wash. It used to come down to my pelvis, now it only comes down to my waistband.

I would recommend it, but with reservations. I prefer my HH Warm Ice, which is top quality and unaffected by 40-deg cotton wash cycles.

I was looking for a baselayer top to wear whilst travelling on a long international flight. Airports can be very warm and since I was leaving the UK in the winter I needed something that would get me to the airport without freezing to death, but would not cause me to overheat when I reached the airport.

This top really did the trick. It's made from merino wool with all that materials excellent properties. I only needed a zip up mid-layer on top of this baselayer item so - no jacket required. Travelling to San Francisco on a 10 hour flight was very comfortable. The price was excellent, way more competitive buying online than in any high street "Outdoor Gear" type shop. The garment washes well and retains its shape too. I bought a size XL (as opposed to my normal size L) as I'd don't like a "compression" fit that some of these baselayer tops are sized for. It fits nicely, not too loose, not too tight and the flatlocked seams mean that ther's no annoying rubbing of seam lines especially during a long period of sitting in an aircraft. All in all I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

This is a great base layer. Warm, comfortable, good fit ( I have a large, I am 179 cm, 82 kg,) I often wear it by itself as it looks decent. Only negative is that it is very slightly itchy compared to my HH merino wool base layer. But to be honest I prefer this one.

My husband wears merino base layers during the winter for cycling in as they keep him warm and don't feel cold or wet if he should get sweaty. I seem to be getting into a habit of buying him a new merino top each Christmas, not because they wear out but because he really likes them and they are a little more interesting than socks (although I have bought him merino socks some years). He is just as happy with this design as with previous ones.
