Product Description

AKG has been providing industry leadership and audio innovation to the music business for over 65 years. Having been involved in every aspect of some of the greatest music of all time, leading artists, producers and engineers have come to rely on AKG headphones in their quest for audio excellence. The AKG K323 XS is not, however, your typical AKG headphone. They're tiny. Real tiny. Yet, they take full advantage of AKG engineering excellence through their function and design, which means that, despite their miniature size, they adhere to AKG standards for sound quality, comfort and versatility.

Despite their ultra-small, in-ear size - the smallest available with the greatest sound - their ultra-lightweight design makes them perfect for busy, connective dependent lifestyles.

The AKG K323 XS brings you functionality and convenience in a miniature design. AKG never loses sight of the fact that it's all about sound quality and having round-the clock access to it. It's how we've built our reputation - two ears at a time.

The AKG K323 XS is available in three versions: with a straight cable, with a three-button MFI remote/microphone that is compatible with the latest Apple devices, and with a one-button universal remote/microphone compatible with most Smartphones. These remotes allow you to answer and end calls, or play and pause music, without taking your headphones off.

They're fine - nothing special in any respect. For £22 (at time of purchase) I suppose they're alright, but I wouldn't purchase them again (and would walk away without hesitation for the full RRP).

Good points:
- Sound is actually pretty good, bass isn't thunderous but is tight and controlled. Highs can be a little harsh but otherwise a fairly well balanced and clean presentation.
- No sharp/hard edges on the earphone housing which is a nice change
- Remote works exactly as advertised with my Moto G

Not so good points:
- They're advertised as 'extra small' but the ear tips aren't really any smaller than any other in ear headphone, so if you've got extra small lugholes (like me) then keep looking
- The cable is HORRIFIC. It's stiff and holds the shape it was packaged in, tangles easily, and transmits a huge amount of noise to your ears if you do anything more than sit perfectly still and breathe gently when wearing them. To the point where it is discouraging me from using the earphones at all - it's really that bad.
- Isolation is mediocre at best - barely more isolating than a standard set of earbuds.

All in all I would recommend the Apple EarPods instead - they don't sound the best in the grand scheme of things and some people don't like them, but they fit me well and they're reasonably priced. I was hoping for some more isolation so that these could be used instead of earplugs on my motorbike, but the AKGs have thoroughly failed in that respect and will probably end up in the drawer with all the other earphones that don't get used.

Whathifi gave it 5 stars, and being a fan of Japanese manufacturing and already having AKG headphones (for indoor use) I went with it.
+ These are WELL MADE earphones, I wouldn't be surprised it they will last you years (like they should).
+ They are TINY and fit in your ears nicely.
+ I have no gripe with sound clarity, for their size they sound amazing, loud and clear.
+ Yes they have bass, but keep looking if you're a basshead.

It has a few issues though:
- It is only 1m length, the standard 1.3m would have been better, so that you could put your music device in your pants pocket.
- Rigid cable, I had cheaper earphones with a soft cable and loved it. However, you will get used to it.
- The mike has an unfortunate design and may get stuck in the collar of your coat. Really, they should've made it flush with the cable.

I would look around, but I don't think you will find anything like it for the price of these.

Love these earphones. Definitely the best ones I've owned, I previously had the Klipsch S3s and these blow them out of the water. They're very small, one bud is smaller than the tip of my pinky finger and above all it sounds very very good! I don't find them lacking in terms of sound. Lows, mids and highs are all superb! The in-line control works well and the microphone from what people have told me is fairly good. They're also very good for sport, small, lightweight and of course the button to play/pause/skip. No worries about having them in helmets or anything!
My only gripe would be that the cable is a bit short. Definitely shorter than average, I'm only average height myself but I imagine someone of a taller stature might encounter some difficulties. It isn't too much of a problem but it's what stops this from being 5 stars. Otherwise well worth the purchase if you're in the market for new earphones!

The only thing that holds me back from giving this a five star rating is the fact that the sound is a bit weak (the small drivers show but this is exactly what they were bought for in the first place) but the clarity is excellent. Very nice quality

I totally agree with Benamin's review on 7th May 2015. He's spot on. I'm glad he took his valuable time and took All the words right out of my mouth. This headphones are nothing special. Not any diffrent from the standard headphones you get with most mobile phones nowadays. I've bought them today for half price (£21.50) and I'm glad I didn't pay anymore as I don't think it's worth even at that price... Tried few different types of songs from pop to R&B and the Bass was crackling. The sound quality is not that good... Bit disappointed really. I think I'm going to try to take them back. Not sure what excuse I'm going to use...
