The airwalker is a great product for low-impact exercising indoors. It assembles and stores easily. (It will not lean comfortably against the wall when folded up, but it should fit under a non-divan type bed, or it can be strapped to a clothes rail in a closet.) It is virtually silent when working properly (although you may have to use some WD40 occasionally on the joints as they tend to squeak), so you can exercise whilst listening to audio books or music, or whilst watching TV or a DVD. You are always in control: you can glide very gently and slowly, or bend your knees slightly or lean slightly forward or backward for a variety of different "glides". You can use the handles just for balance, or not at all, or quite vigorously for a virtual "cross-country skiing" type workout. TIP: If you are collecting this product, make sure it will fit in your vehicle!

This was just what I needed, very quick delivery and easy to assemble. My sister is now going to purchase one when in stock as they really do benefit not too physical but does the job it say's it does.
I would recommend every one who does not walk enough especialy in bad weather to purchase one. Along with my healthy eating i am losing fat and feel much more energetic.

I ordered this equipment, wanting to enhance the pilates machine I already have and rid myself of a few pounds around the hips!! I'm certainly not disappointed. It's sturdy, simple to erect and for the price it's amazing. I would urge anyone wanting an air walker to buy this now before they sell out.

Really unsure how much one needed to spend on such an item to get something that works and seems like it will continue to work. Had the Airwalker for a few weeks now and whole family very impressed. Good aerobic , non-impact exercise from a very quiet machine that seems well-built. So, for us, can see no point in spending more. Only slight negative - comes with a digital counter/ device of some sort the workings of which we have been utterly unable to fathom!! No instructions included and seems to deliver entirely random numbers. Does not, however, detract from the functionality of the machine itself.
Addendum: The Airwalker developed a fault after several months of good use. I very much doubt that, given its nature, anybody else will get this problem. However, MK Trading dealt with this matter with immediate and careful attention. A service to be recommended!

First, this is very easy to put together. Just a few screws for the handles and a few for the bottom bits. It took less than 10 minutes to have it up and running and it is not terribly heavy but it is solid.
Second, you need to get on carefully - hold on to one of the side bars while putting your feet onto the steps.
Third, start gently and ignore the numbers that pop up on the digital dial. These are totally incomprehensible and do not help you exercise.
Fourth, turn on the music, audio book or telly or place somewhere you can look out to a nice view and then just begin to move your arms and legs. It follows naturally and is not stressful at all.
Take it easy in the beginnning and start with ten minutes morning and evening and gradually work your way up to more or longer periods of exercise. You will feel the effects after just one day.
Whether or not it is good for buring calories and losing weight I can't say as my main reason for getting the air walker was to strengthen my leg and arm muscles in a non-stressful way. Also, I couldn't afford three hundred pounds for a piece of gym equipment. This is a good piece of exercise machine so if you are on a tight budget but want to do something to get in better shape you cannot go wrong with this air walker.

First up, air gliders are a brilliant form of exercise. I previously owned one and, over the course of six and a half years, I totally wore it out. Absolutely perfect for fragile joints or exercising indoors. Due to an upper back problem, I chose not to use the hand bars (didn't attach them) and just held onto the static bar instead. Doing it this way enables you to go at a much faster speed and have a really good, sweaty, strenuous work-out. Equally, on those days when you really CAN'T be bothered to exercise, but know that you have to do something, you can be a bit more relaxed. There were times when I would be doing this whilst reading a book!! Air gliders are not excessively noisy so you can easily watch tv or listen to music as you work out.

Now onto THIS particular model - to be blunt, it is a shoddy piece of rubbish and not worth 59 pence, never mind £59.

After my afore-mentioned air glider was dispatched to the big gym in the sky, I searched for a similar model but to no avail. In desperation - I was missing it terribly - I purchased this model, brand new (NOT second-hand) from a well-known auction web-site. Delivery day arrived & I was SO excited. Hubby had the item set-up for me to jump straight onto when I got home from work.

My first thoughts were that it was very light-weight and rather flimsy. As I exercised the 'clock' on the front swivelled round & round & round the static bar. There was no stopping it. When I moved, it moved! It was irritating but not the end of the world. 20 mins later, however, my thoughts were more 'intense' (you know what I mean!) as I crouched with a screwdriver, in my hand, re-attatching the right-hand tension wire to the foot-pedal! I did no more exercise that night.
