My son loves this game he has completed within a couple of days but still keeps going back to play it again and again. He also has spiderman edge of time which he also loves and would recommend

Much fanfare was made of the fact that you can play as four different Spider-Mans with their own gameplay, but the reality is far, far removed from the fantasy. This is a stale, boring button-mashing combat-oriented game.
You play as Spider-Man, but you might not actually realise that until you get pretty far into the game because there's no real webslinging (except for one level where it really works) and you can play pretty much the whole game without even realising you can wallclimb.
The game is split into four categories, where you play as Amazing Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099 and Spider-Man Noir, explained by the fact that some artifact gets shattered and something or other about alternate dimensions and recollecting them. Amazing, Ultimate and 2099 are all very nearly completely identical in terms of gameplay in as much as they're all button mashing combat games. The biggest difference between the three is that Spider-Man wears different clothes.
In the Ultimate version, Spidey's wearing the Venom costume, so in addition to looking all sleek and black and cool, he has a RAGE meter. Because the kids today are angry and you've got to cater to that, right? So as you fight, this rage meter fills up and when it's full, you can start kicking some serious behind. In the 2099 version, you get basically the same thing but it's slow motion instead. The 2099 version also has this little minigame where you skydive, which plays kind of like a racing game except rather than steering around corners you are steering around obstacles in a straight line course.
The Amazing universe has nothing unique about it.

Descriptions of this game will make you feel excited about the four different Spider-Mans you can play as and all the villains you will face. It emphasises the great villains that Marvel has to offer and the way you interact with the different characters. Please, if you're a hardcore fan like I am on Marvel, DC or other then please do not fall for this game. On Xbox or PS3 you could enjoy the graphics, not on the Wii. You do see some historical characters and some nifty moves, but the levels are the problem. You want excitement and evolution of the game and all you get is repetitiveness and the all the levels are the same. You are stuck within boundaries and have to do the same moves with the characters . You may get more characters but you cannot have fun with some of them. I found this game to be mundane and repetitive.
I can round up in one paragraph every level for you. Spider-Man goes after a broken bit of tablet, he finds it, the bad guy gets it before you do, the bad guy gets better powers and then you chase him? He unleashes little versions of himself, you defeat them and then the bad guy, the end.
I didn't even finish this game just sold it within a week.

this game is good and it will last quite long but eventually it will get boring there is no free roam in the city, no city at all, and eventually it feels like youre just doing the samething over and over again, but the best player is spiderman noir to play as, and i would recommend going for the 350 or ps3 version instead, i just have this game cos my wii is chipped.
