Fun:
GUN is an awesome game, and supplies you with one of the best Western shooters currently avaliable. From the very beginning i could tell that this was going to be an enjoyable game, and at times i deliberately didn't save the game after i'd completed tasks just because i wanted to do them again and again! The game itself is a fresh alternative to the usual 'Grand Theft Auto' style scenarios of recent games. Riding horseback and shooting arrows makes the game feel unique. The game is based on your traditional western baron and a sharp witted countryman searching for revenge. But the game delves deeper into western life, including bandits, Indians, and ranching. The only problem with the game is that it is indeed quite short. At times i felt like i wanted there to be more when there just wasn't. However, the gameplay and storyline make up for this. I'd recommend this to people who'd like to try something other than modern shoot-em-up's with gadgets etc, because GUN must be one of the best games in my collection.

WOW!! I've hardly begun this game, and already could not wait to do my review!!
I agree SO much with the previous reviewer 'Boris' who says that he just knew that this was going to be a great game from the outset - me too! Also, like him, I too deliberately did not save my progress (as I nearly always do about every thirty seconds of play or so - I'm so useless...) because it was so enjoyable! This is a first, in that many games can be so repetitive, but lose their enjoyment because of it - not so with this!
When I purchased this game, I was not sure what type of game I was buying from the title - it does not give much a way, (could be 'cops 'n' robbers, spies, anywhere a gun is used) and since I am not particularly good at video games (despite loving them) and the cover design doesn't give much away either... I did not know that this was a western style 'shooter', and so I may not have purchased it had I known, as I would not have thought it my type of game (I'm a bit 'sissy-ish' when it comes to action-packed games - give me Mario any time!) but this was different, and a very pleasant surprise to me! I think the graphics are awesome and very fluid, and the dialogue is great - particularly the voice of Ned which is really encouraging to the player! The responses, action, and consequences of actions are exceptionally real I thought, and the player really 'feels' they are participating with 'others' on a mission - even when playing a game alone!
I could not rate this game high enough! The only thing I would say is (and this is because I am a staunch Nintendo only advocate) play on GameCube only! It appears available on other platforms I've noticed, but Nintendo in my opinion, are, and always will be, simply the best in gaming!

This is the only cowboy game on the cube. The wild west theme is brilliantly done and some of the missions are great fun. But the main game is way to short, you can finish it in around 5 hours but luckily there are a lot of side missions which add a lot more replay value. Also there are only 2 towns in the game and the world is sparsely populated, but that doesnt affect it too much

iv tried gta games and i didn't like them they don't feel fluid and disjointed somehow the reason for this game not being as successful as it should of been is the name .... Read more

Meh. Played Far Better.
The Game is alot of Fun, but even with all of the additional missions you can do, you can complete the game without a great deal of difficulty in a day. Read more

Brilliant
Tge game simply is brilliant, is let down only by being too short! There should be more to do and a couple more towns!
