This is a Simcity style game where you manage heaven and hell at the same time. By managing, you build the gates, the gifts (heaven) and the punishments (hell). Each section is populated by souls and you need to keep them happy by building and developing each section.

3.0 out of 5 stars Weird as Hell (and Heaven), 27 Dec 2000
Definately the weirdest game I've ever bought. In Afterlife you have to design the best heaven and the worst hells for the poor dead souls of an alien planet. You can find out about each souls sins and virtues and watch as your Utopias (in heaven) and Distopias (in hell) develop and progress, you must be a good business manager in order for you two make an eteral profit....which is what it comes down too. Go into debt and the Four Surfers of the Apocalypso will surf all over and turn your angels and devils into lava soup.
Personally I find this game intriguing, and weird weird weird, not to mention IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE, it's the hardest strategy game I've ever played, but if your looking for a strategy game with a unique flavour and a real challenge this is the one you want.
