Product Description

ER20 Ear Plugs will protect your hearing without spoiling your enjoyment of music and reduce the risk of serious hearing damage later on. They use a patented, revolutionary filter system that drops the volume but retains all the fidelity and keeps you in the mix. They are ideal for use in most situations where noise is dangerous. ACS ER20's are re-useable hearing protectors that protect the ear against excessive ambient noise. Due to the special filter, the fidelity of the original sound remains and speech intelligility is hardly affected. In the workplace when sounds reach a level of 85dB(A), it's the law for employers to provide hearing protection. Outside of work, it's down to you!

Simply fantastic 30 Dec 2008
Ive been playing the drums for about 10 years now and have tried loads of plugs to try and help to save my ears over the years. Dr. Plugs, foam plugs, and other "christmas tree" plugs, but none of the mcome close to matching these. Its basically just like turning down to volume a few notches. When I practise with my band i can hear everything like i would hear it if i hadno plugs in at all, yet after 3 hours of practise my ears dont ring at all. Its an absolute revelation! Since i got these a few years ago ive even started wearing plugs when i go to see other bands play, it used to be the sound would be muddy and generally rubbsih wearing plugs, not with these! Again you can hear everything, probably even better than if you werent wearing plugs. Then once the band stops playing you can turn to your mates and have a normal conversation without anyone needing to shout, you can hear them talk to you and you can hear yourself talking too! simply fantastic plugs! i wouldnt use anything else!

Just a little note to say that the Etymotic ER-20s plugs and the Elacin ER-20s are both exactly the same made by the same people. so buy the ones that are cheapest!

I just wish I brought these before the guitarist in my band decided to move his Marshall half stack next to me whilst we was practicing one evening, now my ears are screaming, and haven't stopped since. I brought these hearing protectors so to reduce everyday noise so that hopefully the high pitch noise will one day leave. I now wear these whilst driving and of course band practice.

I had these earplugs recommended to me by several professionals. They are the cheapest and best way to safeguard your hearing if you work in environments where very loud music is played like nightclubs. You can still hear the music but it is reduced to a safe level. You can also hear what people around you are saying as they don't filter out speech.
If you work in a club or a musician then you should defiantly buy these if you want to keep your hearing.

D'oh!
Ear buds work fine, and it would probably be a 5* review if it weren't for the following two reasons

1) As soon as I took them out of the case, the string snapped. Read more

Earplugs
These earplugs are perfect. I use them when attending gigs. The 'bootlace' which hangs them around the neck is very convenient. They aren't too obstrusive.

Music filters
They work as they should but after a while my ears started to complain. I also have my own customed earplugs which are great but cost 120!
