I am a 32 year old woman who has spent far to long being inactive and living off mainly takeaways and chocolate, who every now again starves herself on some fad diet or just not eating and then puts the weight back on and then some.
This is the best diet I have ever been on!!! Mainly because I have been able to stick to it.

The reasons why this diet has been so effective for me is that is that:

1. The science behind it made absolute sense to me and explained why I was so flabby even though I don't eat much and why it congregrated around my belly.

2. I get to eat more than I have ever had before and loose weight! I don't calorie count any more.

3. There is an exercise plan with it that is extremely effective (I am starting to see my 6 pack)and minimal effort is required.

4. The diet iteself is extremely healthy but you are still allowed peanut butter, bread, cheese and the diet requires that you break your diet for one night a week to eat whatever you want. (To be honest I haven't done this yet because I am never hungry on this diet)

The only negative comment I can make is that some of the recipes for the main meal might need extra flavouring by herb or spice. I use the recipes as a base and then tweek them to my personal preference.

I can't praise this book enough. I am 4 weeks into the diet and I have lost weight, feel stronger, healthier and have more energy. All my friends and family have noticed and have ordered this book.

If you really want to loose weight and keep it off this is the book for you - It just makes sense.

This book says it all. The diet is fantastic, lots of food to choose from,great recipes, never get bored with the food you are to eat. You even get one meal per week to eat what ever you choose so you never feel deprived.

The exercises vary to suit all capabilities, either in the gym or at home. You need very little equipment so can exercise anywhere,anytime.

Buy the book it is the best, and i have tried them all. You really will find your abs.

In some ways, this is just another diet book. We all know we need to eat less & exercise more, but what this book does is explain what happens to your body when you go on a crash diet and why, when you eat 'normally' again you end up bigger than when you started. It explains good fats and bad fats, good sugars (are there such a thing) and the sugars to avoid. It tells you of the food groups you need to include in your meals and why they are good for you. It lays out an exercise plan and meal plans and the foods that are available to eat runs to quite a long list.

If there is a down side to this book it is that it relies heavily on American Studies that don't always seem to show anything astonishing.... 1% of people lost weight when they ate X for a week.....

He also berates all the other diets on the market such as Atkins, but in fairness, he does explain why these type of diets don't work in the long-run. I also found stocking up on most of the foods a very expensive exercise - my food bill nearly doubled when armed with his list.

I don't know if it works as I'm only on my first week, but what I do know is that a lot of this book makes complete sense and I finally feel that the penny has dropped as to where I've been going wrong all these years. I might not loose any weight at the end of his plan, but at least I'll understand more about what the food I eat does to my body - and that can only be a good thing!

I have read this book all the way through and it totally makes sense. I have been following the diet plan for 3 weeks and have completed 2 weeks with the exercise.
The eating plan does require a little planning and most of the reciepes are really nice and very easy to make.
As i am used to exercising regular prior to this i have enjoyed the fact that i am not spending as much time as before in the gym.
As for the results, my weight has dropped, my inches have dropped, my bmi has come down and also my fat %. So it does work.
I have tried to loose weight before following other diet plans but this one is the only 1 that has suited me and have seen results like this. Give it a go!!

This book is so good I'll bullet point rather than babble.

* In depth clear concise healthy eating advice
* Easy to do recipes with accessible ingredients
* Exercises for home and gym
* Contains success stories for an assortment of people
* Its far from boring and totally do-able

IT REALLY WORKS AND IS EASY TO FOLLOW. I skimmed through it in a shop to make sure it as write for me, DEFINATLY WORTH THE PURCHASE.

i bought this book back in june, it does refer to a lot of american researches, but that actually made me realise just how bad some people let themselves go!! and i don't wish to be 1 of them! lol!

there are quite a few different menus listed in this book and if you can find all the ingredients then great, but there were a few that aren't anywhere to be found in my local shops.

the good thing about this book is that it's not a strict diet, you don't live off small portions of rabbit food, infact, they encourage you to eat 6 meals a day! and you can still eat your favourite pizzas, steaks etc as a treat once a week..(i try to avoid doing this personally).
Although i don't use the menus, the book has taught me to experiment with new foods, what to look for, what to avoid and how to make the best of the healthy foods that are out far i havent eaten any chips (which i used to eat daily).

at the end of the book is also a wide range of exercise plans..all with pictures for anyone who doesn't know the titles for different moves, which makes this book a really great buy!!'s working for me anyway :D
