First of all: the artists. Personally, I think Kev Walker's fully painted work on the earlier 'Khronicles of Khaos' was far too garish and fussy and just detracted from the plot, so I'm glad that this showcases his black and white work. Still a bit fussy, but allows for the story to flow a lot better. Liam Sharp and Boo Cook didn't impress me, and Mike Mcmahon is one of my alltime favourite 2000AD artists - but he drew his best stuff years ago. The true star here is Henry Flint, he's more than a match for Walker or even Bisley.
Now, the writing: I've always enjoyed Pat Mills anti-authoritarian stories, and the return to Mars plotline was a good idea. I love the warriors but their outings have never been as satisfying as the best Nemesis the Warlock strips. They've never really outgrown their status as supporting characters for me.
To sum up - if you're a fan, definitely worth a look, if only for Flint's excellent artwork.
