About the Author
Lyn Wendon is a reading specialist who devised Letterland as a remedy for reading failure. Working among children with learning difficulties, she found that they needed a style of teaching that not only explained letter behaviour, but also fired their imaginations. The result was Letterland!

Bought this book for my twin sons as they have just started school and letterland is part of there curriculum would advise anyone in the same position to purchase this book as it is great for them to listen to the story on each letter and then find all the things on the page that begin with that letter. My boys have taken the book the school to show it off and they have also have it on the able whilst doing there homework.

Great software. I don't think my kids have found all of the games yet. Letterland suits us in that its consistently all lowercase letters.
Our daughter loves the visual instructions that are shown on screen for each letter's action song & can never resist getting up and dancing and singing along. And I mean up - up on the office chair most of the time until we get her down. Enthusiasm!
Though our kids can do a lot of it, there are some parts too difficult for now - which is a good thing for us as they will get more and more from it for months to come.

I introduced my 3yr old to Letterland as an infant. She is now having so much fun and identifying all her letters with this fantastic CD ROM. I believe this disc would be just as successful for those children who are introduced to letterland at a later age. It is fun, imaginative and exciting and my daughter is always asking me to put it on for her. My only criticism is that some of the characters have been changed over the years e.g. Robber Red is now Robot Red and what happened to Max & Maxine and the Water Witch etc? Those of you who are new to Letterland obviously wont notice a difference. Either way this has definately gottten 5*'s from us!!!
