Product Description

Product Description

By law, at any time - day or night, when driving in Europe you must convert your headlamps to avoid dazzling other road users. This is a compulsory requirement in most countries. Failing to use headlamp beam converters when driving abroad, severley dazzles other road users. It's dangeours, illegal and must be prevented at all times - night or day (inc, rain, fog etc). Remember to remove the converters as soon as you return to the UK. These converters allow you to adjust your headlamps for driving on the right-hand side of the road, altering your beams pattern, which is different to those fitted on European left-hand-drive vehicles. They are suitable for all vehichles and include individual fitting diagrams for the latest 'Clear Glass Headlamps', 'Projector' and 'Xenon,' and 'Glass Line Pattern' headlamps inside the packaging.

    An excellent product.
I bought these beam converters before going abroad. They were easy to fit although the instructions looked a bit complicated at first.
I had read that they were very hard to remove but they were quite easy.
Turn headlights on for a couple of minutes to warm the converters up and pull the converters off.
Pick of the thin film left behind with your fingernail (a bit fiddly but not too hard).
Spray the remaining adhesive with WD40 and wipe off with kitchen roll or similar. I had to do this stage twice before all of the adhesive came off.

    AA Beam Converters

This product did the job as advertised but I found the instructions less than comprehensive.
I fitted the product to a 2012 Ford Fiesta with extremely sloping clear lens. No help was given as to how to find the centre of the lens.
As an engineer this did not cause me a problem but many customers will likely fit the "mask" in the wrong position.
I choose to disagree with this assertion made in the advert that these "Patented" converters are the only way to effect the necessary change especially the inference that you cannot use "tape" (of the correct type and in the correct position)
At the Amazon reduced price of £3.50 I purchased the product so that I could see (confirm) where to fit the "shield" and to remove any possibility that I would be stopped by the Police for using a non Euro approved method!
The product met my needs at a reasonable price and gave me piece of mind. I would have been disappointed had I paid the standard retail price for what is basically a bit of sticky tape, the largest part of which was not required on my vehicle.

On removal the sticky layer was VERY difficult to remove without special cleaners, even after just 5 days!

These arrived promtly. They are exactly the same items as you can buy from a major UK automotive accessories retailer but via Amazon they cost half the price. Being self adhesive they can only be used once so price is important. I have used them many times before and they work very well indeed. Having discovered Amazon's half price source I will be buying them this way in future.

I didn't have a clue how these were meant to be fitted, so I took my lovely bright-red pick-up truck to my local garage...and neither did they! They did follow the instructions, and although they didn't look right to me (as a woman) because they're not symmetrically aligned when looking at the truck from the front - it felt like I was looking at someone who'd put their false eyelashes on upside down (very wrong) - I'm happy to report that on the journey to Spain, through France, no one flashed at me once (ooer Mrs!), so the beam from my headlights must have been suitably converted. I will deduce therefore, that this product does exactly what it says on the tin..

Simple product that does what it says. They're easy to fit (as long as you know what type of bulb your car uses). They even worked on my Renault Clio which has extremely curved headlights - leading to a previous set of divertors falling off mid-journey.

This Beam converters was great as I used them in France and it has a good leaflet to show you how to fit it on the car which takes only 2 minutes to fit them and 1 minute to remove them when you arrive to the UK and I strongly recomment them to any body travelling to Europe

I bought this kit while in Germany for my 2007 Vauxhall Vectra. As my vehicle needed servicing in Germany, I asked the Opel workshop to fit them correctly. I had previously fitted a pair but had been told they did not cut out glare effectively. The workshop said that they had tried fitting them in accordance with the instructions and using their beam setting equipment but that they did not work with the 'magnifying glass' type lights on the Vectra.

To those folks having trouble removing the sticky stuff. Once you've peeled the deflectors off, take some kitchen towel and get hold of either some Isopropyl Alcohol (some chemists sell it or ebay) and it'll just wipe off. If you cant get Isopropyl then a brilliant 'sticky stuff' remover is the good old fashioned cigarette lighter fuel, (not gas of course!!) the petrol sort they use in Zippos etc. Most shops sell it and its only about 99p a can. And this stuff cleans all sorts of gunk off things. So now you know!!
