Product Description

Product Description

By law, at any time - day or night, when driving in Europe you must convert your headlamps to avoid dazzling other road users. This is a compulsory requirement in most countries. Failing to use headlamp beam converters when driving abroad, severley dazzles other road users. It's dangeours, illegal and must be prevented at all times - night or day (inc, rain, fog etc). Remember to remove the converters as soon as you return to the UK. These converters allow you to adjust your headlamps for driving on the right-hand side of the road, altering your beams pattern, which is different to those fitted on European left-hand-drive vehicles. They are suitable for all vehichles and include individual fitting diagrams for the latest 'Clear Glass Headlamps', 'Projector' and 'Xenon,' and 'Glass Line Pattern' headlamps inside the packaging.

4.0 out of 5 stars beam converters 6 Jun 2010

    An excellent product.
I bought these beam converters before going abroad. They were easy to fit although the instructions looked a bit complicated at first.
I had read that they were very hard to remove but they were quite easy.
Turn headlights on for a couple of minutes to warm the converters up and pull the converters off.
Pick of the thin film left behind with your fingernail (a bit fiddly but not too hard).
Spray the remaining adhesive with WD40 and wipe off with kitchen roll or similar. I had to do this stage twice before all of the adhesive came off.

4.0 out of 5 stars How to get the sticky stuff off...... 1 Mar 2011
    Amazon Verified Purchase
To those folks having trouble removing the sticky stuff. Once you've peeled the deflectors off, take some kitchen towel and get hold of either some Isopropyl Alcohol (some chemists sell it or ebay) and it'll just wipe off. If you cant get Isopropyl then a brilliant 'sticky stuff' remover is the good old fashioned cigarette lighter fuel, (not gas of course!!) the petrol sort they use in Zippos etc. Most shops sell it and its only about 99p a can. And this stuff cleans all sorts of gunk off things. So now you know!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Beam Converters 21 July 2010
    By JohnB
Advert should make it plain that these seem to be a single use product. You don't seem to be able to peel them off and use again on your next trip.

Despite following the instructions exactly these did not work. I have just had to pay €300 because they were useless.

It is not helpful when driving at night in France to be dazzled by poorly set headlights coming towards you. Read more

Cheap and easy to use - good tip from other reviews is to leave the lights on for a few minutes before peeling off.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good value
As always, it's completely random whether I stick them in the right place on the headlamps but I didn't get stopped by the gendarmes or flashed by other motorists so I presume they... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect.
These can be re-used with care. Costs much less than buying on the ferry or the port - great to have a little stack in the car ready for those day trips and other journeys.

Single-use, a bit sticky, instructions were complicated but did show exactly where to fit on a huge range of cars

What can one say about beam deflectors. They deflect beams. When I go to mainland Europe I will use them.
