Free days out...but watch out for parking costs!,

When times are hard we all look for days out that wont break the budget. So splashing out a few pounds on a quick reference guide was an easy decision. Its good that its split into the different areas of the country but it could do with a few more places, especially considering some of the ideas are definitely not a full day out. On the other hand though it is quite a small book which is perfect for carrying in your bag or keeping on the shelf tucked away until needed. It does give some good detail about the places but no pictures. Sat nav users ( so the most of us) will be glad to know it gives accurate post codes, making the places that much easier to find. Don't worry if you don't have a sat nav, there are directions as well , although quite brief. Contact numbers, opening/closing times and facilities are also mentioned. I have discovered some real treasures from this book, especially in my area. Its also great for holiday's in the uk. So you've booked a holiday and its coming to the end, you've nearly spent the budget and you've still got a day or so left, this book will help you fill that day. Don't forget, though the attraction may be free, the parking may not be. You might want to check on this before you go, or just remember to take some change if there is pay and display.
Overall a good book for the price, a few minor improvements could be made but there is no other book like this that offers the same detail etc at an affordable price.
