I was heading for a D in AS chemistry. I had tried asking others for help, I got my chemical ideas and storylines and read them until my eyes bled and that useless "official" revision guide too. No good. I had almost accepted my fate, but decided to have one last crack at it and try this book. It is the best revision guide for the subject you will ever find. Thanks to this little cracker I got an A. I would recommend this a million times over.

This really was my lifesaver for A2 Chemistry. The official salters guide just doesn't get you the A/B grade because it's far too easy/condensed down. This goes into all of the detail thats needed, without overdoing it.
Downside: it is quite big and detailed - so not great if you like really, really need condensed pages.
I'd definitely use this book again. Perhaps buy the other guide along with this one, and use them together. If you find one guide (the CGP) is too complicated, turn to the other one for easy, midgrade revision.

In short I was heading for a C in Chemistry, used this book a few days before my exam, got an A. What more can I say? Get it early so you can feel a bit more confident before the exam, but it really helped incredibly so much more than even my teacher, just buy it you won't regret it.

I bought this book for salters chemistry as I found the storylines and ideas books quite boring, wordy, and annoyingly, they're not in order! This has been very useful, and I use it for all my revsision, and hopefully, it'll help me pass! I'd certainly recommend!

Full comprehensive book filled with necessary knowledge and simple explanation to get through those difficult exams. I little bit patronising in terms of rubbish jokes for an a level student but bearable in that it get you through the exams and that is all that matters.
