I have always been fascinated – and at times terrified – by the Book of Revelations. On a Saturday afternoon in December 2000, I sat down and wrote this impression of The Apocalypse. I took some artistic license, especially with compression. I also recast some of the prose into a more poetic form. My goal was to give my impression of each chapter; not to rewrite, add, or subtract from it- the book itself warns against that! (See Revelations 22:18)
My hope and prayer is that the reader will turn from here to the Bible and read Revelations in its entirety – listen to this incredible prophecy as if reading it for the first time. As Jesus warned the churches: “Listen!”
