Product Description

Book 1 in the series. Now completely revised. (Edition 1.4)
"It's a story of corporate jealousy at the highest levels, greed, spite, vengeance, advanced technology, medicine, love and betrayal, and the very essence of life itself.
WOW - that is a lot to cover in one book! Read this book - you will be glad you did."

Donna Rigden has just lost the most important person in her life. She's fed up with her boss at D'Netics Research Facility. She resigns - big mistake! Donna is now on the hit list of one of the most notorious men in the corporate US. He's without morals and doesn't accept the word 'no'.
Donna refuses to leave the US without saying goodbye to her parents and grandparents. While leaving the cemetery, she's shot and whisked away to safety. Donna wakes up on her way to the UK.
Sir Richard, Donna's new employer showers her with luxury and makes her an offer she can't refuse. Now, once she's signed the contract, he asks her to use her medical expertise to commit murder.
Richard Triplet wants more from Donna than she's willing to give; she feels trapped and desperate. She turns to a new friend for comfort. Her world is turned upside down. Two letters and two secrets steer her future. Donna must make a life changing choice. Once made, there's no going back. Was it the right choice?
Death strikes! Sam, the infirmary's doctor, is ordered to give his patient an untested drug. Sam knows the drug is either a cure or a curse, but goes against his patient's wishes. Will he stand by his Hippocratic Oath or follow Sir Richard's orders? Will it cure his patient or kill her?

Another book that I thought would have some sort of plot, only to be devoted to the main character's love life. The female main character is supposedly a 'genius' but is so passive it's infuriating. All the men in the book - though I confess I didn't get to the end - are all interested in her instantly. Yet they all treat her like a child. They keep things hidden from her and she doesn't question them about it, rather moons over her attraction to two men! She just doesn't seem like a credible character. I guess this just wasn't my thing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Vested DisInterested 11 Mar 2013

I note the book was written by two people, I think they may not have been communicating with each other.Perhaps they were writing separate plots. The plot started off alright but then disintegrated to the main character's love life, where we were expected to believe that she loved two men at the same time. Then to make matters worse, she refers to the father of one of her lovers as Sir Richard, then calls him Dad, then later refers to him as Uncle Tip. I believe this may have been one of the worst books I have ever read. So save yourself the bother and don't order it, even it is free...it only takes up space on your kindle!

I found this book a bit dislocated. Heroine was supposed to be super intelligent genesist, but seemed dim about men. Trying to be James bond and mills and Boone didn't work for me.
