This is a very well written and enjoyable story by an author who has a great talent for story telling.
The main characters observations; interventions and thoughts about her parents were very real and extremely comical at times.
The humour is present throughout the whole story, which is long enough to get really stuck into.
I feel that the story appeals to all ages quite cleverly by hooking into the child part of us all.
I easily related to the main characters experiences of home life and enjoyed the whole air of mystery surrounding the goings on in the world of guinea pigs.
I would recommend this book to young and old alike and feel that some great stories are going to be coming our way from this author.

This is an amazing book. A must have, for all ages. I read this book with my 8 year old daughter and i enjoyed it as much as she did.

This is an amazing book that will make anyone from 2nd graders to adults laugh! I would recommend this book to everyone, especially if they have or love guinea pigs. I am eleven years old and I think this book is extraordinary! I can't wait for the next one to come out!

As a 3rd grade teacher with a classroom guinea pig, I was looking for a book to read aloud to my class. The thing was, I didn't just want a picture book, or a how-to-take-care-of book, I wanted a book with a truly engaging story. After reading the story description and several reviews, I decided to give this book a try.
Reading this book outloud each day to my class, I felt like I hit the jackpot! I was as completely engaged in the story as the students were. In fact, after giving my students the [... ], my students insisted they hear the sequel to this book (setting: Christmas) even though it was May!
I would give this book my highest recommendation for children and adults alike. My students and I will never quite look at our guinea pig again the same way! The imaginative thinking this story encourages was truly a pleasure to see, even with students that think they only enjoy video games. Lisa Maddock's ability to have her readers connect to the characters makes this book pure fun!
