More About the Author

So in a fit of blatant rebellion, you're getting a first-person, fourth-wall-busting bio. Writing third-person bios for yourself is a weird, uncomfortable process.

Umm. Moving right along from my irrational fear of referring to myself in the third person, I guess the important thing you need to know is that I'm a caffiene-addicted Aussie capable of swearing a blue streak that would make a sailor blush. Yeah.

I'm pretty good at writing, too, or so I'm told.

The most attractive part of this book is the front cover. The story and characters are thin to vanishing. I fail to see what there is here for an adult male. No plot to speak of. No characters to get to grips with. No sex worthy of the description. Age point for this book, junior fiction at best.

A Sweet May/December GayLove Affair 7 Mar. 2012
By Becky C - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
The plot in A SYMPHONY OF ECHOES is well-oiled and moves smoothly, but this is a character-driven story and I cared deeply about Eric and Arthur as well as their friends. I hope there will be more stories about Eric's friends and co-workers as I really liked them and want to see how they are getting on. The May/December aspect of Eric and Arthur's relationship is actually more of a concern to Eric than to anyone else, but there will be things to deal with in the future that Arthur is not thinking about now, such as caring for an elderly partner when Arthur is still a middle-aged man.
I enjoyed this book very much and look forward eagerly to reading more by the talented Cecilia Ryan.
