50 Pages with illustrations on every other page.

Jeanie finds a genie ring and gets her wishes granted. She wants to be brilliant for a day - and outshine her classmates. The genie doesn't know when to stop, and makes Jeanie's life difficult.

He makes her describe life in Baghdad (Arabia) in minute detail - he won't allow her to stop talking. He gets her to paint an African landscape, sets up China the country instead of the diner places.

Jeanie realises that she is better off without the genies help - although she has learnt a lot about different cultures and countries. She gives the ring away to her friend Asha. Asha is going to India, a place the genie wants to visit. The genie has been feeling homesick.

The book uses lots of colourful language. There are beautiful description concerning the countries and their culture, food, buildings, and people.

This book would be good for Middle/Upper Primary. It is a girl centred school adventure story, that gives interesting detail about other countries.

Format:Paperback
A small girl called Jeanie found an old twinkling ring and every time anyone said Jeanie a genie would appear. All the wishes he gave her kept coming out in a funny way. One day she found out her friend was going to India so the genie went with her.

I would recommend this book to children who like magical stories. It was funny and I prefer funny stories.

A girl named Jeanie finds a sparkling ring on her way to school. She rubs the ring at school and a rich clothed Genie appears from the ring. She makes a wish to talk about Baghdad and ends up not being able to stop. She was very annoyed by the Genie but things go terribly wrong.

i realy liked the pictures and the text because they were good efforts.I disliked the first bit because it was not very interesting.

I would reccomend this book for ages 7 and over because it is a breath taking book.
