After seeing Stampede the first time around I've been a fan for a long time. After seeing them on their re-union tour a few years back I thought with the pathetic number of people that turned up that would be the end of that..
However this is an exceptionally good cd. If you like NWOBHM you will love this. Certainly there are shades of the later UFO recordings here and that's no bad thing.
Recomended for all rock fans.
Oh and if any one from the band reads this please please re-record "Days of wine and roses" my copy has had it.

A great album. Real balance, with lots of power and some great tunes. I liked the switch of pace between songs. These guys know how to rock and they have captured it on this album.

From the opening track "Send Me Down An Angel", hard rockers Stampede have won with their latest offering. Great riffs, catchy sing-a-long choruses, melodic guitar solos, and bluesy vocals. A winning recipe in anyone's book.
Reuben Archer's vocals are silky with a slight hint of whiskey, and Laurence proves you don't have to sweep pick, string skip, or play a million notes a second to make a great solo. Just play from the heart. I don't like to make comparisons to other bands, but I agree with a previous reviewer. If you don't nod your head to this, check your pulse because you might be dead! Stop reading and click BUY!

dissapointing!
I bought this album on the back of some glowing reviews in the classic/melodic rock music press only to be sadly dissapointed. The bottom line is that it lacks any good songs. Read more
