This album is a beautifully crafted collection of melodic songs which I wasnt really expecting to like. JJ has a wonderfully rich voice that hooks you into the tune and especially the chorus. Lots of strings and some clever hooks make this a hybrid betweeen folk and dare I say 'middle of the road' but not in the 'corny' sence of the word. Never thought I'd enjoy this type of sound but I found I was entranced by the way the songs unravel and pull you in so that you dont push the pause or next track button and I have played this half a dozen times! Sit back,relax and enjoy the mellow sounds of a well rounded singer/songwriter

This is an extremely satisfying debut Lp from the talented JJ. I was drawn in by the voice at first, as I suspect will most people, but what really makes it are the wonderful arrangements and orchestration.
I've been reminded, at various times, of John Martyn, Nick Drake, Van Morrison, Roy Harper and, strangely, Caravan. Can't be a bad thing.
The overall feel is far more soulful than some of those references suggest, and he has the sort of rich, resonant vocal that will set him apart from many of his contemporaries.
An artist of great potential, I can't wait to see what he'll come up with next. Oh, and the trombone solo in the final song is pure joy.

This is a great debut album from Jonathan Jeremiah and he's a lovely guy, met him recently on tour supporting Katie Melua at the Philharmonic Hall Liverpool.
His songs are very easy listening great lyrics and all a beautiful sound through and through. If you like Cat Stevens, Nick Drake like i do you will hear a resemblence in some of his songs but he does have his own unique voice/style and the young orchestra that perform on this album with him are superb, just wish they had of been with him at the Phil! Well worth a listen, and loved by a wide age group, i bought this for my mum who also saw him live and loved him and she is 80 years old! Check him out! :-)
