Elettra Under Cover! 10 Sep 2009
By Anne M. Hunter - Published on Amazon.com
In this dramatically-written Guido Brunetti book the action moves to a small Venetian fishing village.
Brunetti's complex feelings for Elettra are closer to the surface as the book moves inexorably from a
fiery start to a very dramatic finish. I can't imagine why this book is out of print so quickly and
not even available used at the moment. It's an excellent part of the series which every Brunetti fan
should read.
Donna Leon at her very best 9 July 2011

I've read the entire series, & in my opinion, A Sea of Troubles is a standout in a very strong field. This is definitely 1 of the top 2 or 3 Brunetti stories. Signorina Elletra comes out from behind her desk and has an active role in the plot. While Donna Leon generally sticks to the police procedural genre, when she ventures into action scenes the results are dynamic. That is clearly the case here. I recommend this book very highly!
