This is an eclectic and at times disturbing collection of poems. It is entertaining and moving, taking the reader on a journey into the realms of darkness, horror and madness. There are also some lighter moments that contrast the powerful intensity, and give the book another dimension. The writing is intelligent and fluid and the book is on the whole well worth a read. I would recommend A Scream From The Shadows to anyone interested in the more profound and romantic poetry. Also of interest to those who like horror fiction such as Dracula, Frankenstein or H.P. Lovecraft.
