5.0 out of 5 stars Rare Medium 16 May 2011
By Bubbity
The whole area of mediumship is one that never fails to intrigue. I call myself a healthy sceptic, coming from a background in psychology, so the subject of Lorraine Holloway-White's book appealed to both the sceptic in me, on the one hand, and the open-minded, spiritual part on the other. Written in an open, accessible and personable style, this book is an introduction to Lorraine as a person, a medium, and to her other works. Lorraine describes herself as a natural-born medium and this is a running theme in the book which is largely presented as a collection of blog posts. Another theme through the book, is the message that mediumship and healing cannot be taught, but is a gift. Lorraine comes across as passionate and sincere about what she does and her mission is to warn people against those fraudulent `mediums' who charge a fortune to tell people what they want to hear or go in for mass entertainment to large audiences. Holloway-White, on the other hand, prefers to work on a one-to-one basis, through word of mouth and usually for free or by donation only. The series of blogs cover all manner of fascinating aspects of Lorraine's work, including tissue readings, online readings, absent healing and automatic writing. She had a whole book dictated to her this way, in fact - 'A Guide's Guide to Mediumship and Healing'. Whether you are a believer or a sceptic or undecided, there is so much in this book which will give you plenty of food for thought. Highly Recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating Blog 7 May 2011
Lorraine is a natural medium, but she's not your average medium, she's sceptical about her gift and questions her incredibly wonderful and very natural ability to communicate with the spirit world. This blog (taken from one of her beautifully written books) takes you on her journey of being that sceptical medium and gives you an insight about her beliefs. She is the talented author of several successful non-fiction books, all of which are mind-boggling and informative and will leave any reader questioning their existence. This blog reveals the true Lorraine Holloway-White, not only as a medium and author but as a genuinely nice person. She's fun, supportive and one of the nicest people I have had the fortune to meet. I would recommend this blog to anyone, sceptics and believers alike.
